Students will be performing a showcase of their work from the recent Guernsey Festival of Dance 2013. Also, making their debut performances are our younger members of the school from our Pre-school & Pre-primary classes which promises to be a treat. So spread the word to family and friends and come and celebrate all our students achievements !

Musical Theatre Workshop with West End Professional Jayde Westaby

Students were able to attend a weekend of workshops with West End Professional Jayde Westaby in March. They learnt repertoire from great shows such as Grease, Matilda and A Chorus Line. The sessions were full to capacity and everyone from the Mini’s to Senior’s thoroughly enjoyed being worked hard through warm ups, concentration work, vocal & audition technique. We look forward to welcoming Jayde back in the Summer Term!

Guernsey Festival of Dance 2013

Students from the school excelled themselves in the Guernsey festival of Dance 2013. All competitors were awarded certifciates by ajudicator Miss Karen Collings. Trophies won included the Elizabeth Harrion Shield for Modern Acts 9-13 yrs, The Avril Earl Trophy for Song & Dance Groups Under 9yrs, The Karen Dempsey School of Dance Trophy for Song & Dance Groups 9-13yrs. Many students were awarded 1st, 2nd,3rd & 4th places in solo,duet & trio sections. Students thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were a credit to the Dance School….Well Done Everyone !!

Summer School 2012

An amazing week of Dance, Drama and Singing culminated in a Showcase for parents & friends. This year’s Summer School was our largest ever and all students from the age of 5-16 yrs learnt so much in a short space of time. Musical Theatre Routines from Annie, 13, Spanish, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Street Dance & Drama. Next year’s Summer School will take place from 12th August – 16th August 2013 so book your place now !

Members of our Drama Department are taking part in this year’s Gadoc One Act Play Festival at Beau Sejour Theatre with their production of “Noah’s Ark ” by Colin & Mary Crowther.

Easter Break 2012

Miss Karen has had a busy Easter Break attending several I.S.T.D Courses for teachers in London. These have been a mix of syllabus and inspiring free work for teachers. Also, Ewan Mauger attended a historical dance course as a member of the Royal Ballet School JA Programme which took place at the school in Covent Garden. Miss Karen was invited to attend and thoroughly enjoyed the day which culminated in a display of work to parents.
