The Story of our Guernsey Dance School

The Karen Dempsey School of Guernsey Dance and Theatre Arts was established in 1993, offering professional teaching of Ballet, Modern and Tap. All of our teachers are qualified dance instructors and we are proud to belong to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.). Our aim is to provide a friendly and enthusiastic approach to Drama and Dance tuition, encouraging boys, girls and adults to participate in the arts!

Our Guernsey dance school offers a wide range of classes to students of all ages and abilities from Beginners to Advanced. Stressing the importance of small class sizes where possible means your child recieves more individual attention. We hold Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D) examinations twice a year where pupils reaching the necessary standard can be entered. Working towards examinations gives pupils the opportunity to develop their confidence and personal skills which will benefit their all round education. We offer free “taster” classes for those who are interested. The age range for our classes varies from Pre-school (3 years) to seniors (18 years +).
